August 17: Books for Teachers 

@ Hurd School 4-8pm

The Friends of Beebe Library welcome all teachers to come to the Hurd School (27 Cordis Street in Wakefield) and take books that will help their students in the upcoming school year. We know that teachers often spend their own money to bring books to the classrooms, and we invite them to attend and choose books that will incite their students to enjoy reading. We have many children's books available (board books, picture books, early readers, chapter books, non-fiction).  Teachers may also choose from the Young Adult section and the (adult) fiction and non-fiction categories: history, biography, cooking, fine arts, religion, science & health, diet & exercise, sports, and travel

August 20: Wakefield Farmers Market

Once again, the Friends of Beebe Library will be giving back to the Wakefield community at Farmers Market.  August 20th will be the final date you can visit our tent for the season.  Donations are very welcome, but we hope that all local residents come and grab something for their summer reading.
